Burlington RRC Facilitates Bike Donations to NJ Recovery House Residents

By: Ashley Runyon

This September, the Burlington RRC obtained four bicycles for the Destination Recovery house residents in Palmyra, NJ. Bob Furlong, a Police Officer with the NJ Transit Outreach Unit, facilitated the donation from the Walter Rand Transportation Center in Camden. These bikes offer freedom, flexibility, and independence to several residents of Destination Recovery. For one individual, the donated bike means he no longer has to walk to work, now he can bike! CARES is honored to be part of the supportive and charitable community in South Jersey.

The Burlington Resource Recovery Center (RRC) exists to provide individuals with access to peer support, information about substance use disorder (SUD), recovery support services, and information about other community resources in a supportive substance-free environment.
