CARES Recovery Corps is a cutting-edge grassroots community-level approach aimed at improving people’s lives by delivering peer recovery support services directly to those most in need.

When accepted into our CARES Recovery Corps Project, you will be trained, at no cost, in the nationally recognized Certified Peer Recovery Specialist curriculum; virtual classes begin 3/14/23 on Tuesdays and Thursdays for eight weeks. After you complete this course, you are eligible to earn 500 hours of experience with CARES, and 25 hours with Supervision, which will enable you to obtain your Certified Peer Recovery Specialist certification in New Jersey. Acquired skills and knowledge can be taken back to your hometown, allowing you to truly help those in need and create your own community of recovery. Here at CARES, we provide CRC services in both Passaic and Morris Counties.
