On January 26th the Jefferson Township Youth Coalition, a project of Prevention is Key, teamed up with the Jefferson Township Police Department to offer the Hidden in Plain Sight program at the township’s municipal building. Hidden in Plain Sight is designed to teach parents and guardians about the signs of teen substance use. During the event, attendees walked through a mock teenagers’ bedroom and learned to identify different diversion devices and methods to keep substances out of sight. The night closed with a presentation on the current substance use trends seen among youth from Jefferson Police Officers, Adam Riley and Jason Fuehring. We thank the parents who attended and were eager to learn more about how to keep our communities healthy and safe for our youth!
