What are your primary duties? My role is to develop relationships with youth to provide guidance and exposure to positive interactions and life skills.
Where did you go to school and what did you study? Sussex County Community College pursuing a degree in Social Work.
How many years have you worked in the field? This is my first opportunity to work in the field.
Why do you work in the field? I need to start doing hands on work to influence the community and help at risk individuals. In this field it is essential to build connections with other people, having a peer while undergoing hardships, especially as a child, can make a huge difference. I aim to be a peer able to use my personal experiences along with skills learned through trainings.
