Extension: 134

What are your primary duties?

I oversee the daily workings and reporting of the Chapter 51 grant. This includes Telephone Recovery Support (TRS), Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT), Morris County Hope One, the LGBTQ+ Taskforce, and other initiatives.

Where did you go to school and what did you study? I attended Ramapo College of New Jersey where I received my BA in political science with a minor in public policy.

How many years have you worked in the field? I’ve worked for two years in the recovery field.

Why do you work in the field?

I wear many hats as a peer recovery specialist. My role may see me out in the community performing Narcan training, running family support meetings, or working one-on-one with a participant in the recovery center. However, I believe all these duties meld together to form my paramount responsibility – being an advocate. No individual, regardless of their background, deserves to be mistreated simply because they use substances. My hope is, through PIK-CARES, to support these individuals and promote their success.
