What are your primary duties? I help to facilitate evidence-based school programs to grades 2 through 8. I am the youth tobacco action group coordinator for a high school, youth driven organization called Incorruptible.Us. I also assist with the IDRC screening, assessments, and presentations.

Where did you go to school and what did you study? Ramapo College, B.A in Psychology minors in substance use disorders and women and gender studies; currently attending Rutgers University for MSW, with a clinical concentration and certificate in Violence Against Women and Children.

How many years have you worked in the field? I have worked with Prevention is Key for 2 years.

Why do you work in the field? I love building connections in the community and promoting a healthy lifestyle. By implementing school-based programs, we are providing students with hope and key skills that aren’t just for substance use prevention but for building their voice and promoting self-advocacy. It’s the confidence and growth we see in students that keeps me motivated in the field.
