COVID-19 Update — February 2022

By: B Teed, Preventionist / LINCS COVID Social Support Coordinator

COVID-19 cases having significantly decreased in New Jersey and the community transmission report dropped us from category Very High (Red) to High (Orange) for the week ending January 22, 2022.  I’m also happy to report there has been a dramatic decrease in cases, hospitalizations, and deaths in Morris County.

If you have been exposed to or are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, I encourage you to stay up to date on the ever changing isolation and quarantine guidelines that can be found on the CDC website at this link https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/quarantine-isolation.html to help prevent the spread of the disease.

Governor Murphy’s office has announced the NJ Emergency Rescue Mortgage Assistance (ERMA) program to assist NJ homeowners that are experiencing financial hardship due to the pandemic and are at-risk of mortgage delinquency, default, foreclosure, or property tax lien.  The program is expected to begin accepting applications on Tuesday, February 8, 2022.  Please go to this link to learn more about the program, check eligibility or apply https://www.njerma.com/.

If you are in need of resources or referrals due to a hardship you are experiencing due to the coronavirus pandemic, please feel free to contact me.  I can be reached at bteed@mcpik.org.
