JTYC Meet and Greet Success

Monday November 22nd a Meet and Greet was hosted for the Jefferson Township Youth Coalition (JTYC). The event was held to give the community a better understanding of how this grant can impact Jefferson Township in a positive way. The goal of the JTYC grant is to reduce youth substance use, specifically with alcohol and marijuana. Many community members were there including, law enforcement, school personnel, parents, volunteers, youth, etc. The mayor of Jefferson Township, Eric Wilsusen was also there to say a few words about what this grant can do for the community. As well as, Kristine Wilsusen who has been instrumental in advocating for this community and getting this grant off the ground.

Prevention is Key is so excited to begin working with a community passionate about reducing substance use and creating a healthier community. If you or someone you know wants to get involved with JTYC please reach out to Carly Sinnott (csinnott@mcpik.org) or Ashley Brown (abrown@mcpik.org).
